Friendship and exchange with people of other faiths

A context for witness and dialogue

It has been suggested that ‘presence and engagement’ provides a framework for interfaith relations, but it might be that ‘friendship and exchange’ offers a more fruitful paradigm.

This study explores what it might mean, how it involves both greater understanding of the other as well as greater confidence in ourselves, and suggests practical ways in which this idea might be put into practice.
